Amandine
(PR Amanda, Mandy) (9 juillet)
née Pauline Jeuris, en 1872 à Herk-la-Ville, en Belgique. Soeur franciscaine, elle devint missionnaire en Chine, où elle fut assassinée lors de l'insurrection des Boxers, société secrète chinoise opposée aux occidentaux, en 1900. Son sourire était légendaire, et les Chinois l'avaient surnommée la "Vierge européenne qui rit toujours". Béatifiée.
